Day 1 The Journey Begins (wow -- how original!!)

May 30, a Wednesday I believe, having just traveled through 72 time zones and more than a few security pat downs, and evening is falling on cloudy but ever so polite London......When I reached for my carry on zipper with my teeth to display my now safely tucked away boarding pass for the 1,234,582 time, the delightful British Air flight attendant shouted "brilliant!" and as I successfully navigated my butt into my seat, another attendant marveled "well done, sir!"

                                   "Let's eat Grandma
                                   Let's eat, Grandma

Tee shirt, which brought on an unexpected conversation at HNL Airport at 5 a.m. with a Finnish gal traveling home with her 9 year old bi-linguist (Ya, I spreken der Fin) followed by a 97 year old German grandma returning from the airplane's potty who first poked my chest (I have the bruises to prove it) asking why I wanted to eat grandmothers --- until she read the WHOLE THING and then said "good boy, grammer is important."

So best wishes to all as tomorrow is the final two legs (why are they called legs?) of the journey to Kabula. I shall pray for you; please pray for me.
